Please Read
Buyers and seller's please be advised that many sites on the world wide web are experiencing heavy traffic from scammers and fraudulent advertisers. Unfortunately these individuals continue to find ways to evade security measures taken.
Please be advised that if a deal on our site sounds too good to be true it most likely is. Please use good judgment and common sense when dealing with any advertiser or advertisers when dealing with any buyer. Never send any monies to an advertiser without actually visiting the vessel and verifying ownership.
A common scenario used frequently in a fraudulent advertiser’s response to a potential buyer, is that they are out of town on business but will hold the boat for the buyer with a deposit or payment made to an account and will ask the buyer to wire the funds. They will also tell the buyer they have a friend that owns a trucking company and will deliver it to you. Most of the time these bank accounts are overseas, and once transferred there is no chance of getting your money returned to you.
A fraudulent buyer’s scenario is often when the buyer wants to send you a check for an amount over the amount you are asking for your boat and the buyer will ask you to send them back the difference. These checks are frauds and usually from stolen bank accounts or credit cards. These scammers are just collecting the difference as their prize.
Please know that we at BassBoatOutlet.com are doing everything possible and utilizing every security device and software to try to stop and guard our visitors to our site from these scammers. Unfortunately some continue to slip under all our efforts.
Again please use caution and common sense before following through on any purchase you make online!
Thank you
